Terms of Use
Last updated: October 23, 2026
By using Wildcard (外卡, the "App") you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. These terms are an agreement between you and Tracy Meng, an individual in New York, USA, who develops the App ("we"). The Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English versions say the same thing; if they differ, the English version controls.
1. Who can use Wildcard
You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. One account per person; keep your Apple ID secure.
2. The service
Wildcard lets friend squads check in together and cheer each other on. The first version is entirely free. We may add, change or remove features, and will give notice of material changes that affect your content. If paid features ever arrive, they will be described separately and you will have to opt in.
3. Not medical advice
Wildcard is a social and entertainment app. It does not give medical, nutrition or training advice. Before starting a new workout or eating plan, consider your own health and consult a professional when needed. You exercise at your own risk. If you are in crisis, call your local emergency number or a crisis line (US and Canada: 988).
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the text and photos you post. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license only to store, process and show that content to the squads you choose, and to make weekly recaps and posters from it. The license ends when you delete the content or your account (removal follows the Privacy Policy's timelines). We never use your content for advertising or to train AI.
You must have the right to post what you upload, and should get consent from anyone else in your photos.
5. AI-generated text
AI leave notes are drafted by a third-party AI model (currently OpenAI) from the reason you type, only when you ask. Drafts may be inaccurate or not to your taste; you can edit or discard them before posting, and once posted they are your content. Don't put other people's private information in your reason. The weekly AI awards and recap use the check-in text and leave-note text of squad members who agreed to AI use; see the Privacy Policy.
6. Rules of conduct
Don't post or do any of the following:
- harassment, bullying, threats, discrimination or hate speech;
- sexual content, non-consensual intimate imagery, or any sexual content involving minors;
- encouraging violence, self-harm or disordered eating;
- violating others' privacy, likeness or intellectual property;
- spam, advertising or scams;
- impersonating others, or attacking, reverse-engineering or scraping the service;
- anything illegal.
7. Reporting and enforcement
You can report any check-in or user by emailing support@wildcardsquad.com, or leave a squad at any time. We act on reports promptly and may remove content and suspend or close accounts.
8. Squads
A squad has up to 8 members and is joined by invite code. Before joining, you must agree that every Sunday the weekly AI awards send your check-in captions and leave-note text for the week to a third-party AI model (see the Privacy Policy). Share codes only with people you trust. Teammates may already have seen or screenshotted what you post; deleting it cannot remove copies on their devices.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account in the App at any time. We may suspend or close accounts for serious or repeated violations of these terms, and will tell you why where we can.
10. Intellectual property
The App's design, characters, animation, code and brand belong to us. You may share the weekly posters the App makes on your personal social accounts.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to US$100. Where local law does not allow these limits, they apply only as far as it does. Nothing here limits consumer rights you cannot waive by law, including under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If you have a dispute, email us first and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. Otherwise, either of us may bring it in the state and federal courts located in New York, including small claims court; if the law where you live gives you the right to sue locally, that right applies.
13. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. You must also follow the App Store's usage rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Changes and contact
We will announce material changes in the App at least 14 days before they take effect. Contact: support@wildcardsquad.com
